Christopher Ellis
Co-Founder & Chief of Operations
Christopher Ellis is the Co-Founder and Chief of Operations at Northeast Right of Way, where he oversees day-to-day operations and ensures that every project is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. With over a decade of experience in the timber and land management industry, Christopher brings extensive expertise in forestry operations, invasive species management, and right-of-way maintenance both on and off the railroad.
A graduate of Paul Smith’s College in Paul Smiths, New York, Christopher holds a bachelor’s degree in Natural Resource Conservation and Land Management. His career includes years of hands-on work operating heavy equipment and performing specialized railroad vegetation management throughout New England.
He holds multiple industry certifications, including OSHA 30, HAZWOPER, and railroad safety training credentials.
Before co-founding Northeast Right of Way, Christopher served as a lead equipment operator and procurement forester, traveling all of New England, where he developed a deep understanding of sustainable land use and resource management. His experience managing invasive species projects has taken him across the entire East Coast, giving him a broad perspective on regional forestry practices and environmental stewardship.
When he’s not in the field or leading operations, Christopher enjoys spending time with his wife and children.

Our fleet includes purpose-built forestry excavators with dedicated high-pressure hydraulic systems and advanced cooling, allowing us to efficiently mulch hardwood trees, dense brush, and overgrown corridors. These purpose-built forestry machines outperform smaller equipment in productivity, durability, and safety. For railroads, utilities, and commercial landowners, machine size and capability directly impact project speed and cost.
